FUNERAL HELD FOR MRS. N.G. PETERSON

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, June 20, at the Swedesburg Lutheran church for Mrs. Nels G. Peterson, Rev. Carl E. Benander and Rev. Ebb officiated. Mr. Vincent Lindeen and Mrs. Arnold Lindeen sang "There is a Gate that Stands Ajar" and "Under His Wings". Mrs. Ebb and Mr. Vincent Lindeen sang a Swedish song entitled: "Trygarre Kan Ingen Vara". Miss Marguerite Hultquist played the organ. Pallbearers were Victor Olson, Constant Lindeen, Gilbert Bergstrom, Leslie Peterson, Arnold Lindeen, and Clayton Molander.

Interment was in the Swedesburg cemetery.

Hanna Olivia Ingmanson Peterson was born at Swedesburg, Ia., January 21, 1879, the daughter of Peter and Hanna Ingmanson. The family home was on the farm where Mrs. Peterson had lived nearly all her life.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Swedesburg Lutheran church.

She was united in marriage to Nels. G. Peterson of Funk, Nebr., on November 25, 1903, at Swedesburg, Ia. Five daughters and two sons were born to this union. One son, Stanley, passed away July 5, 1929, at Quantico, Virginia. Five sisters and four brothers have preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, and the following children: Mrs. Arthur Miller, Olds; Mrs. Ray Flaar, Galesburg, Ill.; Roger Peterson, Winfield and Mrs. Wendell Peterson, Mt. Pleasant; one brother Charles Ingmanson, Olds, and 12 grand children, and one great grandchild.

Mrs. Peterson passed away in the University Hospital, Iowa City, after an illness of four weeks at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 27 days. All that medical skill and care could do was of no avail. She passed away at 12:50 p.m. on June 17, 1948.
