Mrs. Eugene Rogers

Mrs. Eugene Rogers, 69, of New London died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, February 16.

Mabel Irene Rogers was born Dec. 14, 1900 at New London, the daughter of Ira and Jennie Warren Leedham. She was married to Eugene C. Rogers. She was a 1927 graduate of the Burlington Hospital School of Nursing. She was member of the First United Methodist Church in New London and the Henry County Nurses Association.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Hayward of Tiburon, California; and Andy of Des Moines; three grandchildren; her father, Ira Leedham of Morning Sun and one brother, Elmer Leedham of New London. A sister, Laura and a brother, George predeceased her .

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Elliot Chapel in New London. The Rev. James Edwards will officiate. Interment will be in the Burge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Elliot Chapel Wednesday afternoon or evening.
