John McKinnon, attorney at Mt. Pleasant, died from exhaustion, after saving a girl from drowning at a New York beach.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born July 6, 1887 and died July 9, 1916. He is buried in the Burge Cemetery.
