Margaret Irene Wood Acedo, 83, of Mount Pleasant, died at 8:45 am. Monday, March 29, 1993, at her home.
Born March 16, 1910, at Williams, Iowa, she was the daughter of George and Margaret Franklin Boyle. She married Morris Wood Jan. 1, 1932, at Webster City. He died Oct. 21, 1948. She later married Ralph Acedo Aug. 8, 1958, in California.
She had worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Low Vision Group at Mapleleaf in Mount Pleasant.
Survivors include her husband of Honokaa, Hawaii; five daughters, Irene Walsh of Mount Pleasant, Betty Wagler of Stockport, Patricia Hillgartner of Fairfield, Shirley Langham of Sulpher, La., and Pamela Noe of Kamuela, Hawaii; one son, Roger Wood, Kaolpa, Hawaii; 28 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by a son and a grandson.
The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday followed by family visitation at the Elliott Chapel in New London.
The funeral for Mrs. Acedo will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Elliott Chapel with the Rev. Barnabas Barker officiating. Burial will be in Jaggar Cemetery, Danville.
A memorial has been established.
