WAYLAND - Timothy Lee Taglauer, 28, Wayland, died at about 4 p.m. Sunday as the result of a boating accident on the Mississippi River at New Boston, Ill.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hope Lutheran Church, Germanville, with the Rev. Robert Barker officiating. Burial will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home in Wayland. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday. A memorial has been established to Hope Lutheran Church.
Taglauer was born Sept. 27, 1958 at Fairfield, the son of Richard and Karen Kientz Taglauer. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and was a trucker.
He is survived by his parents of Wayland; fiancee, Mary Lou Roden, Mount Pleasant; a brother, David, Mount Pleasant; two sisters, Janet Smith, Wayland; Cheryl Taglauer, Mount Pleasant; a grandfather, Edmund Taglauer, Brighton; and a grandmother, Rilla Kientz, Wayland.
