AIR CORPS MARINE FROM OLDS KILLED.

Capt. Robert Peck, 31, of the Marine Air Corps was killed Tuesday noon while taking off in his jet plane from the base in Maryland. A mechanical failure caused the plane to crash into a hangar.

Capt. Peck was a former resident of Olds, Iowa. He had attended high school there and also had attended Iowa Wesleyan College for one year.

His father is Mr. J.O. Peck of Centerville and he was a nephew of Mrs. James Cornick and a cousin of Mrs. Allan Shook and Mrs. Margaret Layer of this city.

He leaves his wife and two children.

Services will be held Friday morning at nine o'clock at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
