William T. Bruggemeyer, 76, died at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City Wednesday about 12;05 p.m.
The son of William and Mary Fleckenstein Bruggemeyer, was born September 5, 1887 at West Point. He lived in Mt. Pleasant most of his life, engaged in road construction work and farming.
On October 8, 1917 he was married to Jennie Frances McWilliams, who preceded him in death January 31, 1958.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter: Ralph and Charles Bruggemeyer and Mrs. Bill (Mary Jane) Leyden, all of Mt. Pleasant; one brother, Frank Bruggemeyer of Joplin, Mo.; and one sister, Mrs. Henry (Anna) Noe of Mt. Pleasant.
His parents and one sister predeceased him.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, January 11, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Rev. John Manning will officiate.
Interment will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
Rosary will be said Friday, January 10, at 8 p.m. at the R.K. Crane Funeral Home.
