SULLIVAN – New London – Services for Andrew Jackson Sullivan, 81, who died Thursday at Cedar Rapids, will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Elliot chapel, New London, Rev. F.W. Sutton will officiate. Burial will be in Burge cemetery.
He was born Jan. 28, 1866 in New London, the son of John and Susan Rock Sullivan. In Sept. 1889, he married Mary Ellen Hennessee in New London. He died the same day his father-in-law was buried. Sullivan was a member of the Christian church and the oldest living person born in New London.
Surviving are his widow; the following children, James Leroy, Mrs. Rosa Sherwood, Mrs. Mildred Trower and Mrs. Ruth Parshall, all of Cedar Rapids; John Thomas, Danville, and Mrs. Nina Caster, Portland, Ore.; 9 grandchildren, and two brothers, John L., Burlington, and Frank, Portland, Ore.
