ELLEN LEE-COUGHLIN[sic]
Ellen Lee Coughlin was born in Maysville, Kentucky, Oct. 3, 1853. She died in Des Moines, Iowa, May 5, 1927 at the age of 73 years, 7 months and two days. She was married to Thomas H. Coughlin at Henry, Ill. June 8, 1870.
She is survived by the following children: Margaret C. Grogan and Stephen Coughlin of Burlington, Jas. J. Coughlin of Des Moines, Helen Myers of New Hampton, Ruth Ording of Des Moines, Rebecca De Barry and Rachel Davis of Chicago, Mary Linderson of Lockridge, Thomas H. Coughlin of Ponce Park, Fla., and Louis V. Coughlin of Rock Island, Ill, Henry Lee, a brother of Creston and ten grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H., a daughter, Bertha, and two sons, Leo V. and Michael F.
Beside her church affiliation she was a member of the patriotic order of W.R.C. of Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Father Gaffney at St. Alphonsus church at nine o'clock, Monday morning, May 9th. Burial took place in St. Alphonsus cemetery.
