DEATH OF MRS. DONAHUE
DIED SUDDENLY EARLY THIS THIS[sic] MORNING AT HOME
Went To Bed Well As Usual, Woke Up Ill And Died in A Short Time Leaves Husband

Mrs. Donahue, wife of Mr. Michael Donahue, died suddenly early this morning at the home on South Jackson street. She was as well as usual up to last evening, and had been busy all day house cleaning and ate a hearty supper and retired in her usual good health.
About four o'clock this morning she awoke her husband, who found her sitting on the edge of the bed ill. She stated that she was not feeling well and urged him to hasten for the priest, Rev. Father Gaffney. Mr. Donahue hastily dressed and hurried to the pastors home but when he returned he found his wife on the floor and dead. She had evidently pitched forward from the bed, but whether from a stroke of apoplexy or heart trouble is not known.
Mr. Donahue is left alone, there being no children. His wife was about seventy years of age and a most respectable and respected woman. There is genuine sympathy for Mr. Donahue who is left alone in his old age. He has lived here for years and worked at the Insane Asylum about sixty years and is the friend of everybody.
