DEATH IS CAUSED BY TUBERCULOSIS.

GEORGE HENRY RAINES PASSES AWAY HERE SATURDAY.

Leaves Large Family Surviving Him-Funeral Held Today From Residence On S. Adams Street At 1:30 O'Clock.

Saturday morning at about eight o'clock occurred the death of George Henry Raines, a man of about fifty-three years of age, residing at 400 S. Adams street. He was a teamster and had lived in this city for many years. He is survived by a large family. Death came as the result of a prolonged attack of tuberculosis.

Aside from his widow, he leaves six daughters,-Mrs. Walter Blythe, Mrs. Roy Cooper, Misses Josephine, Grace, Florence and Ethel Raines; and three sons,-Ernest, Tom and Charles. Mr. Raines also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Harrison, of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Will Mason, of Oregon, and one brother, Elijah Raines, of this city.

The funeral services were held at one-thirty o'clock this afternoon from the residence, being conducted by Rev. Frank E. Weston, pastor of the First Baptist church, and Rev. P.L. Schuler, pastor of the Christian church. Interment was made at the Old City Cemetery.
