WILLIAM CLARK PASSES AWAY AT WAYLAND, IA.

Wayland, la,, Dec. 24.—-Mr. William Clark passed away at his home Saturday, December 21, after a lingering illness at the age of 60 years.

He was married in 1899 to Florence Jeffrey, and to this union six children were born. Mr. Clark has lived this community all his life and will be kindly remembered by all who knew him.

The wife with three sons, Charles of Fairfield, Max and Billie at home, and a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Hudson of South Bend, Ind. survive. An infant son, John and four-year-old Hazel having preceded him in death.

Services, were held at the Methodist church Tuesday morning, Rev. Mr. Pritchard officiating. A male quartet composed of Messrs. Graber, Leichty, Boshart, and Wenger, sang chosen hymns with Mildred Magdefrau at the piano.

Internment was made in the family lot in Wayland cemetery. Those from a distance attending the service were: Chas. Clark, Ruth Hudson, Joe Zehr, Richland; Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Hoover, Winnifred Clark and Tom Jeffrey and sons.
