MR. JOHN CLARK, AGED RESIDENT OF WAYLAND DIES
Wayland, la,, Nov. 6--Mr. John C.Clark a life long resident of this community passed away at the home of his son Harry, Monday evening Nov. 1 at the age of 72 years past. Mr. Clark has been very feeble for several years and after the death of his wife about nine months ago he has been making his home with his sons who have given him every attention possible for his care and comfort.

Mr. Clark was born on the old homestead Sept.24, 1854. He was united in marriage to Mary A. McKenzie on July 4, 1875. There were five sons blessed this home and the mother and two sons preceded him in death. The three sons remaining to cherish and revere their memory are Henry H, Clyde W. and Frank D. and also a brother William all of Wayland and a large circle of relatives and friends.

The funeral was held from Green Mound chapel and internment in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. J.B. Prichard had charge of the services assisted by Rev. Winters.
