Hillsboro - Funeral services for W. H. Boley were held Monday afternoon at the Christian church in Hillsboro. Services were conducted by Rev. E. L. Tennant of New Sharon, a close friend of the family. The church was filled with sympathizing relatives and friends and the many beautiful floral offerings gave evidence of the high esteem in which the deceased was held.
William Henry Boley was born in Van Buren County, Iowa, Feb. 27th, 1863 and died at his home in Hillsboro, March 12, 1932. He had been an invalid for seven years and death came as a relief to his suffering. He was the second son of James and Nancy Boley, grew to manhood on the farm and on the 31st day of December, 1883 was married to Mae Davidson. To this union four children were born: Joseph Lavere of Gering, Nebr., R. Valiene of Aurora, Ill., Mrs. Harley Brown of Fort Madison and Jay R. at home, also four grandchildren are left to mourn. In the year of 1924 he united with the Christian church under the pastorage of A. O. Wright. He was also a member of the M. W. A.
