MRS. BARBARA GOLDSMITH

On Thursday night at 11 o’clock March 9th, 1922 occurred the death of Barbara Goldsmith. She enjoyed good health up to the first of the year when her health began to fall fast. She was only confined to her bed one week.

OBITUARY:

Barbara (Schloneker) Goldsmith was born in Butler County, Ohio, April 22, 1841 and died at her home in Wayland, Iowa March 9, 1922, aged 80 years, 10 months, 17 days. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior uniting with the Amish Mennonite Church when seventeen years of age. On March 1, 1875 she was united in marriage with John Goldsmith who preceded her in death April 11, 1914. This union was blest with four children viz. William of Los Angeles, California, Frank, Mollie, and Emma (Mrs. Fred S. Miller) of Wayland, Iowa. She leaves to mourn her loss two sons and two daughters, one step-daughter, one stepson, and a large concourse of friends and neighbors. The funeral was held at the Sugar Creek church on Sunday afternoon, conducted by Bro. Daniel Graber and Rev. Samp. Interment in the Finley Cemetery.
