Clyde F. Bunker

Funeral services for Clyde F. Bunker, 83, Salem, were held on Monday, July 28, 1969 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salem Congregational Church with Rev. Waylen Brown, pastor of the Salem Friends Church and the Rev. Carlton Easley of the Mt. Pleasant Nazarene Church officiating. Mr. Bunker entered into rest at Memorial Hospital Mt. Pleasant, Iowa Friday evening, July 25. He had been in failing health the past year.

Music was provided by Mrs. Gordon Wats, organist and Mrs. Delmar Barton, soloist.

Interment was in the Salem Friends Cemetery with Beatty Funeral Chapels in charge of arrangements.

Casket escorts were Arlo Foss, Lewis Hodges, George D. Smith, Donald Glanzman, Richard Triska and J.H. Moeller.

Mr. Bunker was born at Salem, on Feb. 15, 1886, the son of William and Rosella (Kennedy) Bunker.

On May 19, 1909 he was married to Lois Parkins at Salem.

He was a retired farmer and later owned and operated a harware store at Salem for 15 years. He was a lifetime resident of the Salem community and was an active member of the Salem Congregational Church.

He is survived by his wife, a foster daughter, Mrs. LaVerne (Eva May) Judd, Mt. Pleasant, one brother, Charles Bunker, Lake Worth, Fla., two sisters, Mrs. Florence Frary, Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Albert Harshbarger, Salem; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded by his parents, two brothers and an infant sister.
