Miss Mary Elizabeth Nicholas, 89, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died at 12:15 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at St. Luke Hospital, Cedar Rapids.

She was born Sept. 4, 1892, at Mt. Pleasant to the Rev. Worden and Lulu Cherry Nicholas.

Miss Nicholas was a registered nurse at Highland Park(Ill.)Hospital, retiring in 1973. She was a member of Central Park Presbyterian Church, Cedar Rapids.

Surviving: a sister, Margaret Longfield, Redlands, Calif.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Beatty Funeral home, Mt. Pleasant, the Revs. Allen Van Cleve and Ronald McMenamin, Forest Home cemetery.
