R.E. Parrott Succumbs Suddenly at Yarmouth
Yarmouth, Ia. Sept. 10 - Mr. R. E. Parrott, 81, died suddenly at 6:30 a.m. Friday while walking from the Fred Parrott home with his grandson. He had been in faily good health until time of his death.
Mr. Parrott was born June 11, 1851 in Des Moines County and has lived most of his life in New London and this community. His wife, Georgiana Chambers, proceeded him in death July 22,____.
He in early life professed the Christian faith and was a member of the Four Square Gospel Union in Colorado.
One daughter, Mrs. Isabelle Sayers of Webster City, Ia., died several years ago.
He has made his home with a son, Fred Parrott in this town for many years, and has a host of friends who mourn his departure.
Two sons, Fred of Yarmouth and ____of Gilmore City, Ia., one daughter, Mrs. Georgia Allen of Rockford, Ill., Eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survives.
Funeral services will be held from the Elliott funeral home in New London Sunday afternoon at 2:00 with burial in the Burge cemetery at that place.
