A sister, Minnie, and a half brother, Oscar Keller, also preceded her in death. Carrie a sprightly, attractive and cheerful little woman was an ardent church worker all of her life. Her religion was vital to her existence. She joined the Methodist Church on Dec. 8, 1889, was a member of WSCS and of the Loyalty Class. Also, she joined the Eastern Star in Feb. 1918. To these organizations, she devoted nearly all of her energies, especially during the later years. Earlier, she was an expert milliner and dress maker, having operated a shop in Salem for a long time, in conjunction with her husband's jewelry store. Carrie's closet surviving relatives are a niece, Mrs. P. E. Young and a nephew, George A. Bailey, both of Arcadia, Calif. Several relatives by marriage still live. Bearers were Dale Tyner, Chauncey Wilmeth, Ray Davidson, Arlo Foss, Darrell Doss and Vic Morrow. Burial was in Salem Cemetery. "Tho suffering she breathed not a murmer, For the Comforter stood by her side And whispered, "Fear Not, I am with thee With Me shalt thou ever abide.' On the river a pale boatman hastened, She heard the soft drip of his oar; Then from earth and sorrow he bore her Across that beautiful shore." Relatives from a distance attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Blen Haines, Winfield; Richard Wilmeth, Iowa City; Mr. and Mrs Fred Oldt, Lakeland, Ia.; Mrs. Anna Davidson and Craig Wilmth of Mr. Pleasant; Mrs. P.
