John Edwin KELLEY

MOUNT PLEASANT - The service for John Edwin KELLEY, 50, of Mount Pleasant, who died at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 1991, at Henry County Health Ceneter, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Henry Ledbetter and the Rev. Dr. Virgil Fry officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Beatty Funeral Home, where visitation has begun. A memorial has been established to the Oakland Mills Church at Oakland Mills.

KELLEY was born May 15, 1941, near Ottumwa, the son of Bernard E. and Helen SMITH KELLEY. He graduated from Fairfield High School. A carpenter, he was a member of Carpenters Union of Iowa City. On Dec. 28, 1985, he married Leola CAMPBELL MILLS. She survives.

Also surviving are six children, Jacqueline KILLION of Farmington, Mo., Kris KELLEY, Brooke McARTOR, both of Mount Pleasant, Kevin SMITH, Brian SMITH, both of Winfield, Roberta DOGGETT of Lowe; 11 grandchildren; his parents of Mount Pleasant; a brother, Rodger of Fairfield; two sisters, Saundra LONDQUIST of Burlinton and Sheryl NELSON of Lockridge.
