Ruth Mae Gill, 90, of Hillsboro, died Thursday June 20, 1991, at Henry County Health Center, Mt. Pleasant.

Born March 26, 1901, in Salem, she was the daughter of Harlan and Nellie Sneath Garmoe. She married Elmer Perry Gill on January 6, 1919 in Mt. Pleasant. He died April 25, 1974.

She was a member of Hillsboro Baptist church and the Alpha Club of Hillsboro.

Survivors include two sons, Eugene Gill, Pensacola, Fla., Kenneth Gill, Fairfield; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Wanita) Milks, Salem, and Mrs. Raymond (Pauline) Vanderberg, Burlington; 25 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral for Mrs. Gill was at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 24, 1991 at the Hillsboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester Smith officiating. Burial was in Hillsboro Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Hillsboro Cemetery.
