Friday, 13 October 1959Former Local Resident Dies
----------A Former Mt. Pleasant man, Earl Moran, 67, died of a heart attack Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 4:20 p.m. at his home at 403 2nd St. Washington, Iowa. Funeral services were held at the Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. S. J. Curry officiating. Burial was at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Moran was born in Henry county, May 2, 1902, the son of Edward J. and Chloe M. Loomis Moran and was reared and educated in Henry county. In 1914 he was married to Gracie Atta Lesser (Messer) and lived in Washington 15 years. He was an employee of the city for 14 years. Survivors include his wife one brother Charley, of Brookfield, Mo. and a sister Anna Moran of Oklahoma City, Okla.
