New London Notes. - March 8, '97.

Mrs. Martha Miller died Friday morning, Mar. 5th, 1897. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Sunday afternoon, March 7, 1897, at half past two o'clock, Rev. Bishop conducting the services. The remains were interred in the Burge cemetery. Martha Whiting Davis was born in Huntsville, Ala., February 16, 1818. She lived there untill about the year 1846 when she came to New London and made her home with her sister Mrs. C. W. Wall. Some years after she came here, she met Mr. Charles Miller to whom she was married in the year 1861. No children blessed that union. Mr. Miller died in the year '89. Since that time Mrs. Miller has remained in the city, and has lived a very retired life. She always lived a very consistent Christian life and had been a member of the Methodist church for many years. Many friends extend sympathy to the stricken relatives....
