After a long illness, Mrs. Mary Ball passed away this morning at four o'clock. She was born January 31, 1883 in New London, the daughter of Caroline (Fricke) and Anton Totemeier. She was married to A. L. Ball in Mt. Pleasant and after their marriage they lived on various farms in the community. Twenty-two years ago they retired to New London which has since been the family home. Mr. Ball passed away on December 26, 1934. One daughter, Ida Louise Woodsmall and one son, Leroy Ball, also preceded her in death.

Surviving are the following children: Charles F., Guy R., Mrs. Bessie Joy, Walter, S., John F., all of New London. There are also 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Henry James, Adolph and Carl Totemeier, Mrs. Sophia Obermeier all of New London, and Mrs. Lena Kolkman of Yarmouth.

The body was brought to the Elliott Chapel and will be returned to the late home on Friday morning. Funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 from the Church of Christ of which she was a member. The Rev. F. W. Sutton, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in the Ferrel Cemetery northeast of New London.
