Services Tuesday For Sgt. Ross

MT. PLEASANT - Under the greensward of Forest Home cemetery, Sgt. Stanley Dennis Ross will be laid to rest with full military rites Tuesday afternoon.

The committal service will follow a two-o'clock service at First Baptist church, which the youth attended. The Rev. Peter Siemens will officiate.

Sgt. Ross, 20 year-old son of Russell and Rose Cina Ross, was killed in Vietnam Monday. His body arrived at the Zehr funeral home, in Wayland, Saturday.

The family home is on Mt. Pleasant Rt. 2.

A member of the Third Infantry Division, Sgt. Ross had been in Vietnam since last April 13. He entered the Army on Sept. 11, 1968.

Sgt. Ross was born May 13, 1949, in Iowa City. He attended Mt. Pleasant schools, graduating in May of 1968.

Surviving the parents; brother and sisters, Phillip and Eileen Ross, both at home, and Mrs. Karen Epps of Newton, Kan., and grandfather, Antonio Cina of San Gabriel, Calif.
