MRS. WARNER RITES HELD AT WHITE OAK
A large crowd gathered at White Oak church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 where the funeral services were held for the late Mrs. Mary Jane Warner. Mrs. Wormhoudt was in charge with Rev. Sevine, pastor of the Presbyterian church of Birmingham assisting. Mary Hoover and Velma Kinney sang beautifully "Sweet Hour of Prayer", "Saved by Grace" and "Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me." Interment was at White Oak cemetery. The pall bearers were Hugh Olinger, Zion Messer, Arch Dold, Dave Beaber, Ed Scarff, and Bob Swailes.
Mary Jane Warner, daughter of Layton and Ruth Jay was born in Henry county, Iowa, Nov. 5, 1849, and died March 13, 1933, at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 8 days. She and her husband lived on a farm north of Rome until his death. To them was born one son, Reuben Warner, of Birmingham, Iowa, with whom she made her home. Besides her son, she leaves one sister, Mrs. John Climer of the State of Washington, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was interested in her home life and during her illness she was pleasant and cheerful to all those about her.
