Miss Marie Leedham of New London
Dies of Injuries Received in Fall.

New London, Ia. March 10 - Miss Maria Leedham passed away Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the home of her nephew, Asa Anderson where she made her home for the past twenty years. She was nonety-six years of age, she fell and broke her hip and on account of her advanced age she was unable to withstand the shock.

Miss Leedham was born in England, February 25, 1817, and came to this country with her parents when a year old. They first in lived in Ohio and came from there to New London in 1844, and settled on a farm which is now known as the Arthur Linn farm. She was the oldest of a family of nine children, all of whom together with the father and mother have preceded her in death.

The funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the L.D.S. church south of here. Interment at Brooks cemetery.
