Ralph C. Geary
Ralph Cohen Geary passed away Monday morning November 18, 1974 at the Henry County Menorial Hospital in Mt. Pleasant where he had been a patient since Novenber 7
The Son John R. and Rilla (Parker) Geary, he was born December 4, 1894 in Knox Conty, Ohio.
On April 13, 1932 he was married to Lorraine Gruver at Memphis, Missouri.
He had lived in Mt. Union since 1929. He retired in 1964 from the U.S. Mail carrier position he had held for 43 years. He was a member of the Retired Rural Letter Carriers Association.
He was a member of the Liberty Chapel Church in Ohio.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Jack of New London and Wallace of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Cooeen Geary of Burlington and Mrs Bernard (Judy) Krieger of Kirksville, Iowa; ane step son, James Cox of New London ; four grandchildre; nine step grandchildren; ond one sister, Mrs. Torris Myers of Mt Vernon, Ohio.
He was preceeded in death by one grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Benjamin Hang at Mt. Union, Iowa at 10.30 A.M. Wednesday, November 20.
Mrs Howard Oberman was organist and Mrs. Wendell Housman soloist.
Casket bearers were Lauel Krieger, Cecil Linder, Willis Heitmeier, Ronal Gibbs, Dick Lauer and Robert Jones.
Barton McKasson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Interment Winfield Scott township Cemetery, Winfield, Iowa
