Funeral Held for Mrs. Lauterbach

Funeral services for Mrs. Lulu May Lauterbach were held at the Crane Funeral home here Sunday at 3 p.m. with Rev. Stanley Andersen of the Baptist church officiating. Burial was in Forest Home Cemetery.

The organist was Mrs. Max Stein and the pallbearers were J.W. Mallams, Lucas Zilliman, Rufus Smith, Perl Van Syoc, Clyde Nihart and Ernest Peterson.

Mrs. Lulu Mae Lauterbach, daughter of Elijah and Mary Elizabeth Anderson, was born in Mt. Pleasant on January 17, 1868 and passed away at the Memorial hospital, February 18, 1949 at the age of 81 years and one month.

She grew to young womanhood to Mt. Pleasant and was married to Harry Colclough at Racine, Wis., on Nov. 9, 1891. Two children were born to this union, Frank E. Colclough, who passed away in 1935; and Mrs. Mary Louise Stream. Mr. Colclough passed away in 1896.

In 1904 she was married to John H. Lauterbach. One child, Mrs. Alice Whiting, was born to this union. Mr. Lauterbach passed away in September 1940.

She was baptized and joined the First Baptist church of Mt. Pleasant early during the ministry of Frank E. Weston. She served in many capacities during the years and was a faithful member.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters and one brother.

She is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Mary Louise Stream of El Paso, Texas and Mrs. Alice Whiting, San Francisco, California.
