Obituary- Woman Dies in the 95th Year

New London--Mrs. Marietta Anderson, 95, New London's oldest resident, died at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joe Colton, where she was cared for the last 3 years.
Mrs. Anderson had lived her entire life within a radius of 5 miles of New London. She was born here Dec. 10, 1854, the daughter of Phoebe Hamill and Zebedee Raines and was married April 3, 1873, at New London to Edmund Leedham, who died March 4, 1888.
She later was married to Edward Anderson, who died May 3, 1910. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are the following children, Mrs. Colton, Ira E. and C. E. Leedham, Carl A. Anderson, all of New London; Mrs. Lilly G. Willey, Carrington, N.D.
A son, Roy and six brothers and sisters are dead. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Elliot Chapel with Rev. F.W. Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery near New London.
