Era Oge
Era Frances Oge, 80, of Carpentersville, Ill., formerly of Burlington, died Nov. 17, 2006, at Rosewood Nursing Home in Elgin, Ill.

Born Aug. 6, 1926, in Hialeah, Fla., she was the daughter of Robert H. and Wreatha E. Willey Bates. On Jan. 14, 1948, she married Joe Oge. He died March 19, 2003.

Mrs. Oge was a graduate of Hialeah High School. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church. She enjoyed crafting.

Survivors include one daughter, Wreatha Grupy of Carpentersville; one son, Robert Oge of Hinckley, Ill.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence Bates of Cornelius N.C., Charles Bates of Virginia Beach, Va., and Mike Bates of Ocala, Fla.; nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one grandson.

The memorial service for Mrs. Oge will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Community of Christ Church, with Elder Alan Ourth officiating. Following the service, family will receive friends for a luncheon at the church. Burial will follow the luncheon in the Memorial Park Rest Haven in Burlington.
