Axel B. Anderson

MT. UNION - Axel B. Anderson, 91, of Mt. Union, died Friday, Nov. 9, at Maple Leaf Care Center, in Mt. Pleasant.

Born April 19, 1888, in Galva, Ill., he was the son of Frederick and Johanna Moell Anderson. He married Nellie May Mathews, Dec. 6, 1908, in Mt. Union.

He was a member of the Mt. Union United Methodist Church.

Surviving: Four sons, Harold, Swedesburg, Dale, Burlington, Gerald, Mt. Union, and Paul, Huntsville, Ala.; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Oliver, Alexis, Ill., Mrs. Lorena Williams, Columbus Junction, and Mrs. Pauline Willson, Peoria, Ill.; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 2 p.m., Monday, Mt. Union United Methodist church, Rev. Joseph Ricks and Vergil Elliot; Trinity Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the church.
