Virginia Klaus
Virginia R. Klaus, 87, of Trenton, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, June 8, 1998, at her home.
Born Aug. 4, 1910, at Keithsburg, Ill., she was the daughter of Harvey and May E. Fordney Eads. On Aug. 28, 1930, she married Everett W. Klaus at Burlington. He died Dec. 3, 1989.
Mrs. Klaus was a homemaker and a member of Trenton Methodist Church and Mount Pleasant Moose Lodge.
She was a 1928 graduate of Burlington High School and a 1930 graduate of Burlington Junior College, with a teaching degree in the area of teaching the blind.
Survivors include two sons, David Klaus of Burlington and Stephen Klaus of Danville; four daughters, Patricia Brown of Danville, Sylvia Ridinger and Zanythe Wibstad, both of Trenton, and Barbara Huston of Venice, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Klaus of Burlington.
Visitation will begin after noon Wednesday at Weir Funeral Home in Mount PLeasant, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Klaus will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Weir Funeral Home, with Jeffrey McPheron officiating. Burial will be in Finley Cemetery, northeast of Trenton.
A memorial has been established for Trenton Methodist Church.
