Mt. Pleasant News – December 15, 1945

Mrs. Belle Pinkerton, born in Lee County August 1, 1858, died at her home in Salem Thursday morning following a brief illness. She is survived by five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Her only daughter, Ethel May Abbott, preceded her in Death December 1924. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Alice Randolph, Salem; one brother, Charles E. Stansbury, McPherson, Kansas; one half brother, Will Stansbury, Farmington; and one half sister, Jane Cocrain, Farmington. She has been making her home with her granddaughter, Mrs. Elmer Lamb, in Salem. Funeral services were held in the Stevens’ Funeral Home Saturday at 1 P.M. Burial in the Sharon Cemetery in Lee County.
