Rev. E. H. CODDINGTON died at his home in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, on Monday, July 30, 1877, in the 40th year of his age. Mr. CODDINGTON was formerly pastor of the M.E. Church in this city, and endeared himself to a large circle of friends. He enlisted in the 14th Iowa Infantry and lost his left arm at Fort Donelson. It was necessary to amputate it at the shoulder. He never recovered from the shock, and there is no doubt but it hastened his death.... He leaves a loving wife and two children.
