OBITUARY

Andrew Berry was born in Mt. Union, Stark county, Ohio, December 5, 1847, and died at his home near Union church in Tippecanoe township February 20, 1892. Deceased came to Iowa with his parents, Samuel and Marietta Berry, when but two years of age. Grew to manhood on the farm where his father still resides. He enlisted in Company A, fourteenth Iowa infantry February 7, 1865, and was honorably discharged at the close of the war. He was married October 6, 1885, to Miss Rosa Curl, who still survives him with two children not yet old enough to fully understand the greatness of their loss. He had been in poor health for about two years and his friends had given up all hope of his restoration to health, and yet the call to go into the beyond came sooner than was expected. The funeral service was held at Union church on Sabbath, February 21st, by Rev. Jonathan Lee when the remains were interred in the Lambirth cemetery.

So long as the world remains, just so long will God's ways seem past finding out. A wife with her little ones is bereaved of a husband at a time when she seems to need him most. God works in mysterious ways but we have the assurance that all things work together for good to them that love Him.
