Anna Mae Huffer, 74, of Ames, formerly of Wayland, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada, Iowa.

Born March 9, 1928, in Wayland, she was the daughter of Henry and Elsie Mae Wenger Graber. On June 13, 1948, she married Orion M. Huffer in Iowa City.

Mrs. Huffer was a homemaker for several years before working at the registrar office at Iowa State University and Ames High School.

She was a 1946 graduate of Wayland High School and attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City. She attended Ames Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Carol Buhr of Marion; two grandchildren; and one brother, Warren Graber of Mount Pleasant.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Visitation will begin at noon today at Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Huffer will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, south of Wayland, with the Rev. Roger Farmer officiating. Burial will be in North Hill Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Ames Church of the Nazarene.
