DIED.

WELCH. On September 1st, Alice Lydena Welch, daughter of Mrs. Monty? Welch, age 16 years and 5 months. The disease was brain fever.

The subject of this notice commenced to attend the past term of normal ?? the second week of the term she was stricken with a severe headache, which finally ended in death. Thus we are reminded that in the midst of life we are in death. As we stood around her dying bed we wonder why she was called so young, just budding into young womanhood, but we remembered God’s ways are mysterious.

In her sufferings no word of complaint was heard, and she passed from her earthly abode to her heavenly home without a struggle. She will be sadly missed in the family circle of which she was a member, and by her school mates and friends. Her funeral services were conducted by Rev. Furgeson. The text was from the 4th chapter of 2nd Kings and 26th verse.

Happy soul thy days are ended,
All thy mourning days below;
Go, the angel guards attending,
To the sight of Jesus go.
