Called Home by Mother's Death

A.E. Smith, 1148 Spaight street, president of the Wisconsin Music Co., was called to Mt. Pleasant Iowa by the death of his mother, Mrs. E.F. Smith, who passed away Sunday afternoon. Mr. Smith, on receipt of the sad news, left as soon as possible for his former home. Mrs. Smith, who had been in Madison for several months at the home of her son, returned to Iowa last week, having recovered sufficiently from an attack of pneumonia to make the journey. She was accompanied by her son, Harry Smith, of Havana, Cuba, who came to Madison during the mother's illness. Only last year, about the holiday season, Mr. Smith was called to the hawkeye state by the death of his father, E.F. Smith. The two sons, A.E. Smith and Harry Smith are the only children.
