Mrs. Harry Carper Dies Suddenly

Mrs. Harry Carper, 69, died suddenly at the Carper home at 1200 West Saunders street Saturday afternoon about three o’clock.

The daughter of Isaac and Anna (Miller) Bates born Oct. 2, 1882 in Henry county. Mr. and Mrs. Carper resided on a farm in north-west Henry county until 11 years ago when they moved to Mt. Pleasant.

She is survived by her husband and three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Miller, Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Merrle Leazer, Fairfield and Mrs. Merrill Kerr, Mt. Pleasant, also by two brothers, Dillon Bates, Mt. Pleasant, and Max Bates, Trenton; and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Lyons, West Union, and Mrs. J. I. Sater, Phoenix, Ariz. There are eight surviving grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at three o’clock at the Crane Funeral home.
