LaToska Leona Bennett, 93, of Winfield died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.

Born Nov. 27, 1912, in Ollie, she was the daughter of Earl and Mary Abel Bush. On March 17, 1932, she married Gordon Bennett in Rock Island, Ill. He died Oct. 25, 1997.

Mrs. Bennett worked for many years for Metromail in Mount Pleasant. She was active in Sunrise Terrace activities and was a member of Winfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Survivors include one son, Gordon "Bud" Bennett of Clinton; nine grandchildren; seven great–grandchildren; two great–great–grandchildren; one brother, Edgar Bush of Mount Pleasant; and one sister, Vera Wilson of Muscatine.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, one grandson, two brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield. The funeral for Mrs. Bennett will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Honts Funeral Home, with Mark Jagnow officiating. Burial will be in Winfield–Scott Township Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
