Sam McCracken Taken By DeathSam McCracken, 82, died at the Memorial Hospital at 6:45 p.m. Friday.
He was born December 11, 1884 in Mt. Pleasant. He was a lifelong resident of Mt. Pleasant and for many years operated a barbershop at 207 S. Jackson.
Mr. McCracken is survived by a nephew Fred McCracken of Des Moines, and a niece, Mrs. A.B. Carter of Chicago.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 22, at the R.K. Crane Funeral Home. Rev. J. S. Beverly, pastor of the Second Baptist Church will officiate.
Interment will be in the Old City. Friends may call at the R, K, Crane Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Sunday. Contributed by Francine Thompson, Momcine@aol.com
