Foss, Orville Edward, 86 yrs of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, died Wednesday November 19, 1997 at the HCHC from complications following a hip fracture. Born: February 28, 1911 in Washington County, (Pleasant Hill area). Parents: Leroy Augustus and Clarabell Stiles Foss. Married: Alcidene Spencer on December 14, 1932 at Washington, Iowa.

Survivors include: his wife; two sisters, Vera Holm of Stockport, Iowa, and Eva Rathmell of Washington, Iowa; three children, Delbert Foss of Leawood, Kansas, Beverly Wood of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and Sandra Huff of Galesburg, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Foss; and a sister, Mae Wehr. Interment at Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.
