Don Huston 1927 - 2002

Don Huston, 74, former Greenville resident, died at his home in Sheboygan Falls, Wis., Jan. 28, 2002, with his wife of 52 years, Dee, at his side.

A beloved husband, dad and grandpa, he will be dearly missed. In addition to Dee, he is survived by sons Rick (Carol) of Carmel, Ind., and Jeff (Kathy) of Medina, Minn.; daughter, Lori (Paul) Kubicek, of Sheboygan Falls; and five grandchildren, Jared, Sarah, Natalie, Elly and Brett.

Donald Lines Huston was born in Olds, Iowa, in 1927, and married DeLoris "Dee" Hess of nearby Winfield in 1949 (the couple wed in California on the "Bride and Groom" radio show). Don served in the Navy, attended the University of Iowa, and was at various times active in church, Lions Club and barbershop singing. Don was preceded in death by parents, John and Erma (Lines) Huston; brother, Duayne; and sister, Tish Russell. Brothers, Jack and Gary; and sister, Ony Yousling survive.

Don worked in the lumber business all his life, retiring as President of Builderway, Inc., here inGreenville. His career in the building supply industry included several years with Wickes Lumber (Iowa, Illinois, New York, California), and the Peavey Company in Minneapolis.

Don had a great love of family. He enjoyed music, travel, sports, vacationing at Lake Tahoe and living his life with Dee.

The immediate family will celebrate Don's life in a private service Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002. In lieu of flowers please direct your support to your local Visiting Nurses Assoc/Hospice Organization.
