Odd Fellows will be interested in the developments that have resulted in the proposition to secure another hall for the several local lodges of the order. For a number of years the Odd Fellows have occupied the present hall on West Washington street, but for some months there has been a move on to make a change. Investigation finally centered on Union Block, third floor, on the north side of the square. The joint committee of the two lodges is now reporting their findings and has recommended that the move be made. At the regular meeting of Henry lodge Monday night the vote was unanimous and at the regular meeting of Mystic lodge tonight there seems little doubt that the members will also endorse the report of the committee. In which case a lease of Union Hall will be taken.

The new quarters will take in the entire third floor. Aside from a fine lodge room, there is also a splendid dining room and all kinds of anterooms and rooms for storage.

For many years this hall was used by the Masons and remains as it was. The Odd Fellows will spend a good deal of money in putting it into fine condition and make it a real lodge home and it is believed that the move will rejuvenate the several lodges. Aside from the two subordinate lodges there is the Encampment and the Rebekahs and it is possible that other lodges will be invited to meet in the same hall. The only objection to the proposed hall is that it is on the third floor, but once there the rooms are found to be most delightful and comfortable.
