RECEPTION FOR COTTONWOOD MINISTER AND FAMILY

Members and friends of the Cottonwood United Brethren church held a surprise reception for the pastor, the Rev. David Thompson and family, at the parsonage, Friday evening, October 13th. The family received many nice gifts brought by guests.

The evening was spent with games and visiting and an enjoyable time was had by all. The Thompsons were returned for their 4th years at Cottonwood at the request of the Cottonwood, Mt. Ayr, and Uniondalt churches. Rev. Thompson is scout master of the Wayland Boy Scout Troop of 21 members and is active in community affairs.

The members and friends wish the Thompson family a happy and prosperous year.
