Warth Rites Are Pending

NEW LONDON - Services for 31-year-old 1st Lt. Woodrow Warren Warth, who was killed Wednesday in Vietnam are pending at the Elliot Chapel, New London.

Warth was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russelll Warth, who live two miles north of New London.

The parents were informed that he was killed when his tank platoon was overrun by enemy force in the Siagon area.

Warth who entered service in April of 1966, was the fourth Henry County serviceman to lose his life in Vietnam.

Lance Cpl. Charles Miller, 23, USMC, was killed April 4; Lance Cpl. Manzelle Ford, 20, USMC, was killed Feb. 7; Pfc Michael O'Connor, 20, USA, was killed June 22, 1967.
