I will be in Shelby county for a couple of weeks this summer and plan to research my family history in Shelby and Harrison Counties. I thought I'd also spend some time in Des Moines but am wondering if there are any records at the state level that are not at the county courthouses and libraries. If there is a reason for me to go to Des Moines, what would records would I find there and at what location in DM? Any help is much appreciated. ---Marilyn
