WPA cemetery records for Woodbine Cemetery record a MCGONIGAL, no dates.

William McGonigle was for many years a farmer between Dunlap and Woodbine, in Harrison County. He was in business in Dunlap, and lately kept a hotel in Woodbine. The other afternoon he went away for the purpose of buying supplies. The next morning he was found in an unconscious state, with a severe cut in the back of his head. He was taken back to Woodbine and remained unconscious until he died. When last seen he was in the company of two negroes, as it was claimed. He was a man of about fifty years of age, with twelve children and some little property.
