Mrs William Emge passed away at her home on Fifth street early Monday morning following a very brief illness.
The funeral will be held from St. Patrick's church, Wednesday, at 9:00 a.m. and burial in Mt. Carmel cemetery.
Anna Cusack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cusack was born in Evansville, Wis; April 16, 1864, and moved to Harrison county with her parents in 1866 and to Missouri Valley in 1870 and has resided here ever since.
She was married to William Emge, April 27, 1892 and to this union four children were born; Mrs Patrick Tierney, of this city; William, now serving in France; Arthur, living at home and Irene who passed away some years ago.
Besides her immediate family she leaves tow brothers, Tom and Jack, Cusack.
The death of Mrs. Emge came as a great shock to her many friends. She attended the Belgian Relief social Saturday evening and was taken ill Sunday morning. Physicians did all in their power but she gradually grew worse and passed away at 12:30, Monday morning.
Mrs. Emge was a loving mother and has always been identified with the progressive movements of the city. She will be greatly missed by her large circle of fiends.Missouri Valley Times Thu, Jul 04, 1918 Page 6
